In September, I had the opportunity to show at the Queen West Art Crawl, a weekend long outdoor art fair here in Toronto. It was just an amazing experience. Although the weather was a bit on the cool and damp side, many people came out to see all the fantastic art from hundreds of artist participating. I felt so lucky to meet many true art lovers and receive visits from dear friends and to have had great conversations with folks who felt a resonance with my work. One visitor actually cried in my booth after reading my history and use of dead flowers. Moments like that, where I've created a connection with another person through my art, are so nourishing and encourage me to continue on.
