Winter art session is underway, and the first week we are all about blue. We spent some time talking about Picasso's Blue Period and looking at photos of some of his work from this time. From there, we delved into some colour mixing and learned all about mixing up different shades and tones of blues that would serve as the colour palette for our abstract paintings. I felt that an abstract project would be a friendly way to play with our limited colour palette. Though it doesn't seem limited! There are so many beautiful colours mixed up with blue, white and black. Take a look!
